Set among the pine trees of Hochatown, Oklahoma, this modern retreat was shaped by Rami and Shri around the things that make the setting special: changing light, tall trees, natural materials, and the simple pleasure of being together.

Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the forest into the living spaces, while warm wood and clean architectural lines give the interior a quiet sense of character. Throughout the house, the boundary between inside and out feels intentionally blurred, with expansive decks opening directly into the pines.

There is a California king suite, a loft filled with full-size bunks, a private hot tub, and an outdoor fireplace for evenings under the trees. But the details are secondary to the feeling Rami and Shri created: a house with warmth, personality, and a strong sense of place.

The Space

The main living area is the heart of the house, with an open kitchen, dining area, and living room arranged beneath generous windows that keep the forest in view.

The main-floor bedroom feels more secluded, with a California king bed, organic linens, a spa-style bathroom, soaking tub, and double walk-in shower.

Upstairs, the loft becomes its own little world, with four full-size bunks that give children or friends space to spread out.

Outside, the wraparound decks extend the living spaces into the trees. A private hot tub, fire pit, outdoor fireplace, and grill make it easy to spend an entire evening outside, surrounded by the pines.
